Joe received an astonishing surprise today. I’m still fascinated by the revelation. This is not unusual. I am frequently enlightened and or surprised by what characters say or do, or reveal. I’m even more delighted and astonished when the voices or images I see whenever I sit down to work eventually culminate in a scene, then chapter, and another, and eventually, a fully-realized story. I’m not quite there, yet. But close.
Oh, so close.
