SiWC Bound – Yeehaw!

The Surrey Writer’s Conference was my first writer’s conference. It is one of the best in North America. Certainly in Canada. Many talented authors, and A-List agents attend. It’s a great educational venue for the budding, and tenured writer. More importantly, it is a fabulous place to meet, and make friends. Wonderful, amazing, talented, and genuinely nice people, like these:

Kathy Chung
kc dyer
Pamela Patchet
Diana Gabaldon
Sam Sykes
Dee-Ann LeBlanc
Beth Shope

and SO many more.

People I originally met in the Compuserve Books and Writers Forum, supportive, inspiring individuals I am very excited to see again.

If you’re a writer and you have never attended a conference, but would like to, I highly recommend SiWC. If you’re not a writer, but have other interests you’d like to cultivate (fly-tying/scrap-booking/Kayaking, or what-have-you) I strongly encourage you to research, and find a course or conference you find intriguing, one where you can meet, and learn with, people who share your passion. Life is short. Don’t waste it wondering. Sign up. Go. Do. Live. Laugh. And make new friends. You’ll be glad you did.
