A couple of days ago, I received a note from one of my Blog post subscribers who shares my posts in a forum she belongs to. In her note, she explained that one of the forum members had emailed to thank her for sharing my posts and then stated that she liked reading them but her attempts to sign up to receive them herself, had failed. ACK!
I can’t have that.
I want everyone who wants to receive my posts, or one of my newsletters–or all three subscription options–to get them, and not rely on someone else to share them by email or in a forum. So, this post is to clarify how to sign up to receive my posts, news, or posts and news…
Ways to sign up:
**I have a pop-up newsletter subscription form on my web page, but it links only to Dear Ones, so I returned the side-bar subscription sign up form to my website. This is how you subscribe using that form:
On the home page at www.deborahsmall.com look to the right-side column for the sign-up options: Deb’s latest posts (four weekly blog posts); Deb’s Monthly Newsletter (self-explanatory); and Deb’s Dear Ones (irregular book-related news with more frequent delivery during book release months and sale weeks). You can leave all three boxes checked to be on all three lists, or uncheck one or two options, depending on your preference. This is what to look for on my webpage (and in the footer of many of my blog posts):
After you sign up, whether for one or two or all three options, you will receive one, two, or three emails to the address you provided asking you to confirm your subscription(s). You must confirm your subscription(s) to receive your choice(s). You may also want to white-list my email address to ensure receipt of future posts and or newsletters. And that’s it.
This is what the Please Confirm Your Subscription email looks like:
When you click ‘Yes, subscribe me…’, you’ll get a Captcha sequence to complete to confirm your humanity (have to do this to prevent malicious computer-bot sign ups). Once you subscribe, you should receive this notification:
You’re all set!
